Human M. Fatemi currently holds the position of Medical Director of Middle East Operations for IVI-RMA Middle East Fertility Clinics in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Muscat.
He earned his MD degree (magnum cum laude) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in Brussels, Belgium, in 1999. In 2008, he was recognized as a sub-specialist in reproductive medicine and surgery by ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction) and EBCOG (European Board and College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology) and successfully defended his PhD thesis on the endocrinology of the luteal phase in stimulated and substituted cycles at the University of Brussels. In 2009, he received the title of Clinical Professor at the University of Brussels. Professor Fatemi is also a visiting professor at Dubrovnik International University in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Tehran, Iran.
Professor Fatemi is interested in various fields of gynecology, reproductive endocrinology, and surgery. To date, he has authored more than 100 internationally peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and is an invited reviewer of journals such as Human Reproduction and Human Reproduction Update, Fertility and Sterility, and Reproductive BioMedicine Online. He has held more than 200 invited spoken presentations at international conferences around the globe. Professor Fatemi has won a number of grants, including a Pfizer Educational Grant as best graduate fellow in gynecology in Brussels, Belgium, and research grants from Organon, MSD and Merck.
