Since 2018 professor in reproductive medicine and chief consultant at the Fertility Clinic at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University Hospital and scientific Editor-in-Chief of the Danish Medical Journal since 2015. Former professor in obs/gyne at Hvidovre Hospital, Copenhagen University (2013-2018).
Education & Training
Graduated medical school at Copenhagen University in 1996 and became specialist in obs/gyne in 2010 after training at Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen University. Specialist in reproductive medicine and has worked clinically in the field since 2010.
Research activity
Doctoral thesis defended at University of Copenhagen 2006. Published 150 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, seven book chapters and several editorials and opinion letters. H-index 37 (http://scholar.google.dk/citations?user=DB98YhwAAAAJ&hl=da) and H-index 33 (Web of Science). Partner in CoNARTaS (Committee of Nordic ART&Safety) and in the Reprounion consortium (EU/Interreg). Former editor of Human Reproduction Update, Reproductive Biomedicine Online and ACTA Obstetricia/Gynecologia Scand. Current supervisor for 12 PhD student and active researcher in clinical reproductive medicine and reproductive epidemiology. Principal investigator for several multi-centre trials. Have been assessor of 15 PhD including five internationally at Karolinska, Uppsala and Bergen Universities, Vrije University Brussels and UMC Utrecht.
Honours & Recognitions
Current member of ESHRE and the Vancouver group (ICMJE ~ International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) and former president of the Nordic Fertility Society and former member of the Steering committee for ESHRE certification of nurses/midwifes. Have received the following awards; NFOG XXXV Congress 2006 Gothenburg. Award for best oral presentation, ESHRE 22nd Congress 2006, Prague - Established Clinician Award and NFOG XXXVI Congress 2008 Iceland - Young Scientist Award
